Residential Chancel Insurance – No Price Increase.
The standard rate of Insurance Premium Tax (IPT) will be increasing from 10% to 12% with effect from 01/06/2017.
This means the cost of all insurance policies will be increasing apart from our Residential and Commercial Chancel Repair Insurance Policies which will remain at £15.95 and £99.00 respectively (£1m indemnity).
We have absorbed the tax increase on our two most popular policies to save you having to incorporate any change:
- Residential Chancel Policy (£1m indemnity) will remain at £15.95 inc IPT
- Commercial Chancel Policy (£1m Indemnity) will remain at £99.00 inc IPT
All other defective title insurance policies from First Title Insurance plc, our £500,000 indemnity Commercial Chancel Policy and our Abortive Transaction Insurance policy will be increasing to incorporate the new IPT tax rate of 12% with effect from 1/6/2017.
